Hello! I’m Mitch Hankins: 10+ year marketing industry veteran, team builder and leader, innovator, digital marketing professional, Chicagoan, and tea snob. Real Good Marketing, LLC (“RGM”) was a natural evolution of my ongoing professional consulting work, but run in a much more structured and formalized capacity. As a 100% virtual agency, RGM provided high-quality digital marketing and data analytics services to clients spanning the globe and across multiple industries such as Healthcare Technology, Finance, IT, Hospitality & Tourism, and the Non-Profit sector. I lead a team of three full-time employees, plus 15+ contractors who were experts in their respective fields and dedicated to providing high-quality work for our clients. Services provided to our partners included SEO, SEM, Content Marketing, Full-scale Digital Analytics (goal-defining, analytics implementation + tracking and reporting), and Website Development services.
During this time I provided SEO and Content Strategy freelance services to a variety of clients. Part of this was through virtual agencies that contracted me to help them provide services, and part was through my own curated clients.
Aside from being the primary contact for day-to-day campaign management, I was responsible for overseeing the development of SEO strategies for a variety of clients across the tourism, food & bev, news, non-profit, and architecture / engineering fields. I ensured that all online marketing activities were integrated, supported by SEO, and driven by data.
I helped MBB+hippo, an agency focused on CPG+healthcare clients, to establish its SEO and content strategy department. This consisted of managing and overseeing all related activities, from market research to strategy development, to content calendar creation, to asset development and deployment, to data analysis and A/B testing.
I worked on global pharmaceutical brands, establishing SEO best practices and strategies, as well as guiding content development for their websites. In this role, I also had the pleasure of developing in-house SEO training & education programs for our new team members and other channel departments across the Chicago and Kansas City offices.
I was part of a holistic digital marketing team, where we were responsible for crafting SEO and content strategies, generating online leads, reporting and analytics, social media management, and implementing UX best practices for an array of clients in the education space.
I studied Strategic Communications, Spanish language and Sociology at the University of Kansas, graduating with honors from the University of Kansas in 2011.
